Daily Dish

Posted on: January 17, 2010

I have heard many wise people recommend reading a Proverb a day. I have always strived to do that but don’t think I ever get all the way through the month before forgetting the goal.  Proverbs is a gret book of the Bible and among one of my favorites. It offers much advice, as I was feeling down yesterday I turned to Proverbs 16.  I read the NIV version and then the Message, it was comforting.

I was inspired to  put daily scripture on the sidebar of the blog. I am not sure how to do that, so I think I will daily try to list a scripture from Proverbs.  So from Proverbs 16 the Message:

Gracious speech is like clover honey-

good taste to the soul, quick energy for the body.

As we are out and about we can be gracious to the cashiers and store workers, they may be having a rough day but we could help change that.
