This week until Wednesday night, you can purchase a $50 gift card for gas for only $40. Publix is offering this deal again, only this time you can choose which gas company you buy the gift card from. At our Publix they had Shell, Chevron, BP or Hess. The stipulation to this deal is that you must spend $25 on Publix items before you can use the in ad coupon.

We did this last year and bought enough gas cards for our vacation and were able to save $50 which is HUGE especially consideering gas prices.

Have you ever driven away at a gas station realizing you paid more per gallon than whan was advertised on their sign? Gas stations are getting tricky lately. Alot of them are advertizing a price that is only good for their company credit card or cash. They do allow debit cards to get the discount too.

Pay attention when pumping gas, if you are using a debit card be sure to enter it that way or it could cost you $.05 extra or more per gallon of gas.

Not sure how long this will last but Publix has once again decided to sell the Bardenton Herald Sunday edition for only $.50. WOW! That is awesome. This means that you can truely stock up on papers, I have been getting 6 papers and the coupons have not failed me yet.

I know I have not been here in awhile, but I am not done yet. This blog allows me to help others save money and I really have a desire to teach as many as I can how to use coupons and save. Today is the last of my 4 childrens birthdays, 3 were THIS month. It has been a little CRAZY.

I am ready for summer. I have regressed in my coupon organization. I stuck all the inserts in folders again yesterday. I enjoyed using the binder and know I’ll got back to it but for now, this works. I went to Publix and saved over $210 and only spent $42. WOW!

There are not supposed to be any coupon inserts this week, because of the holiday. I heard a rumor about a General Mills insert so I guess we will have to wait and see. On a good note this will allow extra time for those who need to catch up, time to do that.

Save a Lot is a place you can get some good deals, if you know your prices.

Right now they have Idaho 10 lb bag of potatoes for only $1.99. That is a GREAT price. I usually buy these and make twice baked potatoes and freeze them. They are YUMMY!

Bananas are 3lbs for $1.00, we like to peel these and freeze them from smoothies.

Also if you join their smart shopper club you can get a coupon for $5 off $25. Save a lot does accept manufacturer coupons also.

CVS Bag Tag

Have you gotten your CVS bag tag yet???? What is a CVS bag tag? Well it is a tag that is for your reuseable shopping bags, you know for going GREEN. They are only at CVS and yes you have to buy them, but for only $.99. When you are checking out just have the cashier scan your tag and every 4 times it is scanned you will get a $1.00 ECB.

If you get your prescriptions filled there that would be an easy way to get ECB for something you already do. Also don’t forget that even though the bag tags are intended for CVS, Publix will honor the ECB as a coupon too.
